Kemit Academy prides ourselves on being an extended family. During this unprecedented time, we will all work together to secure the health of all persons associated with our school. Young children regularly get ‘sick”. Kemit Academy has always had ‘health policies’, however, due to the current situation with COVID-19, our health policies have been adjusted. Health policies apply to staff, children, and all household members with whom we live. Honest communication is imperative to our ability to keep one another safe. The following will be implemented for the 2021-2022 school year (or until guidance changes).
Summary of Safety Protocols
We are continually assessing and updating our routines in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance, as well as guidance from the Department of Children & Family Services. We recognize there are variations among state departments of health and are working to incorporate the recommendations that best fit our environment. While we will take all protocols outlined above, preventing the spread of COVID 19 can not be guaranteed. We recognize and respect parents as the EXPERTS of their children. Kemit Academy is a GROUP care setting.
The purpose of Kemit Academy being open during this period is to serve as a child center for enrolled families.
